Big government Bill Nelson should be ashamed of himself using our service man & women as pawns.

Friday, November 11th, 2011

I am sick and tire of Bill Nelson talking out of both sides of his mouth. Next year we must remove BIG government Socialist Bill Nelson from the Senate to save our state & country.

Read his email and ask yourself why:
He supported using American resources and air force in a civil war in Libya
He supports the continuing use of American troops in civil wars in Africa
He support bailout for failing companies like Solyndra
He supports job destroying regulations on all businesses.

If Bill Nelson was so concerned about OUR service men and the rest of the 14 million unemployed & under employed he would be supporting cutting regulation and taxes. He would be supporting OUR energy companies BUT he is NOT. Like most Big Government Socialist he supports hand outs NOT a hand up.

Now read Bill Nelson in his own phoney words.

Dear Friends,

As we pause today to thank the millions of men and women who have served in our military, let us also be mindful of the struggles many still face.

While the economic downturn has taken a toll on just about every American, it has been especially tough for many of our veterans.

The unemployment rate among veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan has risen to 12.1 percent – much higher than the national average of 9 percent.

And, on any given night in Florida, an estimated 7,800 former servicemen and women go to sleep without a roof over their head because they’re homeless.

Numbers like these tell me we need to do more to help those who sacrificed in service to our nation.

That’s why I’m pleased to say that on Thursday the U.S. Senate passed legislation providing incentives to companies who hire unemployed veterans. The legislation also extends GI Bill benefits and increases vocational rehabilitation, while helping all service members with their transition back to civilian life. We’ve also introduced legislation to provide housing assistance for more veterans around the country.

Initiatives such as these are important ways to keep our commitment to America’s veterans.

And today being Veterans Day, let’s remember why we must never waiver in this commitment.

Today’s a holiday. Many people are off from work, and our kids are off from school. Non-essential government offices are closed. No mail is delivered.

We are able to celebrate days like this, because we have the freedom to do so – freedom we owe to those we honor.

Sincerely,

Bill Nelson

Did you receive this email from Big Government Bill Nelson?

It is clear Bill Nelson is continuing to sell out the people of Florida in his rush to support the BIG government Socialist agenda.

Did you receive this email from Big Government Bill Nelson?

The right to vote is, and always has been, at the foundation of our democracy. But this fundamental right is under serious attack right now, in Florida and more than a dozen other states. Many believe a handful of super-rich conservative activists are behind an orchestrated effort to keep millions of seniors, younger voters and minorities from casting ballots next year.

Whether or not that’s true, a civics teacher at New Smyrna Beach High School in Florida was on the receiving end of just such an attack last month. The teacher, Jill Cicciarelli, ran afoul of Florida’s new election law while helping some of her students pre-register to vote.

I have met with her and some of her students, and it’s no surprise they’re not happy with the state’s new voting law. Neither is their local supervisor of elections, who under the law was required to report them to state authorities. Volusia County Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall says parts of the law are egregious and unenforceable.

So, it’s not just me who thinks this law is aimed at suppressing the vote. Look at what informed editorial writers have also had to say: The Orlando Sentinel said the new law “amounts to… ripping apart election laws” and “weakening democracy.” The Tampa Tribune said this bill “isn’t fooling anybody. It’s not about clean elections.” And Florida Today called it an “assault on the most cherished of American rights.”

In a nutshell, the Florida law reduces the number of days for early voting from 14 to eight and exposes people who register others to vote to harsh penalties even for innocent mistakes. That’s why the widely respected League of Women Voters has abandoned its voter registration drives in Florida after 72 years.

I wrote Gov. Rick Scott a letter last month asking him to support a revamping or repeal of the law. I also wrote U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, to ask that we conduct a congressional investigation to see if Florida’s law was part of a plan that led to similar voting law changes in more than a dozen other states this year. And I have asked the Justice Department to look into who’s behind these changes.

Please share this note with all of your friends, family and colleagues. Regardless of your political party, I hope you’ll join me in trying to protect everybody’s right to vote.

Thanks for getting involved,
Signed Bill Nelson

Has Bill forgotten all the fraud in the last couple elections? Has Bill Nelson not seen the reports on ACORN and all the voter fraud they were involved in? Has Bill Nelson decide the government is responsible to make sure those voting are voting legally. Bill Nelson might be for letting anyone vote regardless if they live legally in Florida or NOT. Over the last few years we have all seen Bill Nelson move to the EXTREME BIG government left. Rushing to support Socialistic programs Bill Nelson has sold out SENIORS, and All citizens. It is very interesting that once again Bill Nelson wants to involve the HEAVY hand of the federal government in the business of the State of Florida and other states!!

1)Join Bill Nelson demanding that bonuses for corrupt Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac are canceled.

2)Join Bill Nelson in demanding a special prosecutor to investigate the Fast & Furious scandal.

3)Join Bill Nelson in support of HIS jobs bill to frees the free market from all the damaging legislation introduced in the last few years.

It would be great if we could all join Bill Nelson in those 3 things, but we can’t because Bill Nelson has not called for the action to stop the bonuses for Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. He has never call for an investigation of those 2 organization and their involvement in the housing market crash. Bill Nelson has been silent on the Fast & Furious scandal. Bill Nelson has voted to cripple business in the United States and he has no JOBS bill.

Bill Nelson is running for another term & must be voted out of office for the good of the people of Florida.

Very interesting responses to my Request to OUR Congressional representatives in Washington from Florida.

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

Very interesting responses to my Request to OUR Congressional representatives in Washington from Florida. The question wanted to know their position on the Internect and Federal Communications Commission rules.

From Rep Thomas J. Rooney:
Thank you for contacting me regarding net-neutrality. I appreciate your comments and this opportunity to address your concerns. You decide who is for freedom & who is for big government.

Since the Telecommunications Act of 1996 was passed into law, new technologies and advancements in telecommunications have surfaced. These developments occurred so rapidly that Congress recognized the need to update the law.

I want to be clear that I support a hands-off approach to the internet. I don’t believe in taxing the internet or regulating it. The internet has flourished beyond anyone’s imagination and I do not think Congress should be responsible for slowing it down. Please be assured that I will continue to protect an open and free internet that will allow it to grow and thrive.

Several proposals have been introduced in Congress that address telecommunications reform. Please know that as legislation develops I will be sure to keep your views in mind.

Again, thank you for contacting me with your concerns. I encourage you to visit my website at www.rooney.house.gov to sign up for my e-newsletter.
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Rooney
Member of Congress

Fron Sen. Bill Nelson:
Thank you for contacting me about consumers having unfettered access to the Internet.
On September 23, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) published rules to codify open Internet rules to ensure that consumers, businesses, and service providers continue to have equal access to the Internet. The rules are based on the four principles introduced by the FCC in 2005 and two additional rules to ensure nondiscrimination and transparency.
As a member of the Senate Commerce Committee, I have supported legislation that would put rules in place to ensure equal treatment of all Internet content and to protect the ability of consumers to access the lawful content of their choosing. I recently wrote to FCC Chairman Genachowski in support of protections to ensure an open and secure Internet and a thriving, competitive marketplace for consumers, producers, and service providers.
I appreciate your interest in this important issue, and I encourage you to visit the Federal website www.openinternet.gov where you can receive information about developments in this process and participate in the national dialogue about net neutrality. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Bill Nelson

We did not receive a response Fron Sen. Rubio.

Democratic majority leader Harry Reid blocked a vote on the Obama Jobs Bill in the Senate!!!!! VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

The Obama campaign sent out an email today asking supporters to urge Congress to at least vote on the president’s jobs bill almost immediately after Democratic majority leader Harry Reid blocked a vote on the bill in the Senate.

On the Senate floor today, Republican leader Mitch McConnell asked for unanimous consent to proceed on voting on the bill. Reid, who has struggled to find enough votes for the bill in the Democratic caucus, objected to the motion and killed the opportunity for a vote.

About ten minutes later, Jim Messina, Obama’s 2012 campaign manager, emailed this message to supporters:

President Obama is in Dallas today urging Americans who support the American Jobs Act to demand that Congress pass it already.

Florida tax payers, Call Bill (Big government) Nelson and ask why he isn’t calling on Harry Reid to allow a vote on the Obama Jobs bill!!!

Tell Bill to demand a vote on the Obama jobs bill.

Bill Nelson has let the people of Florida down and thrown SENIORS under the BIG GOVERNMENT Bus

Saturday, October 1st, 2011

Florida Senator Bill Nelson once again wants to use smoke and mirrors to hide his big government support instead of letting the free market set prices. Read to email he sent out below that clearly shows his support for government interference in the market.

What big government Bill Nelson does not support is energy independence for the United States. If Big Government Bill Nelson was right the speculators would be getting killed with the drop in the price of OIL. It sounds good but the reason for commodities prices is to have a good flow of product in the market.

Let the Democratic Socialist movement in the government stop trying to control the markets and FREE the market and let the United States start producing oil and gas without constant interference. Once the United States is allowed to produce all the energy this country needs, foreign countries will not longer be able to bleed us for funds to support terrorist.

Bill Nelson has let the people of Florida down and thrown SENIORS under the BIG GOVERNMENT bus. We can not longer tolerate Bill Nelsons support of a planned Socialist economy. Why does Bill Nelson continue to vote for programs that hurt and undermine our seniors. Florida needs a NEW Senator that will support the free market and produce jobs.

Please call Senator Nelson (Phone: 202-224-5274) and ask him why he has not called for a special prosecutor to investigate the Solyndra scandal. White House officials discussed the political ramifications of a possible default by a troubled solar energy company that received more than $500 million in federal loans, newly released emails show. WHERE is Bill Nelson hiding on this?

Let the people of Florida start demanding the oppressive government stops killing jobs and destroying our America energy companies. Bill Nelson has voted in lockstep with Harry Reid in pushing BIG government. Tell Bill Nelson to vote to help business succeed not punish them.

Florida NEEDS jobs and NOT more taxes and government interference.

*******************************************************************
After my email on gas prices, below, it looks like a lot of people decided to let regulators know how they feel about speculators trading oil contracts. We got a few calls this morning, however, that the email link was incorrect and prompted an error message. If you sent a note to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission that bounced back, you can go directly to the agency’s website for comment, which the agency may publish, or feel free to send it to me and I’ll make sure to share your sentiments with the Chairman of the CFTC. Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks for taking the time to be involved on this issue.

Sincerely,

Did Bill Nelson vote to work on solving the debt issue or vote to put SENIORS at risk of losing their checks?

Monday, July 25th, 2011

It is time for Florida seniors to ask why Bill Nelson is voting against SENIORS over and over again.
On the Motion to Table; Cut, Cap, and Balance Act of 2011 – Vote Agreed to (51-46, 3 Not Voting).

__Sen. Bill Nelson voted to approve the bill
__Sen. Bill Nelson voted to debate the bill and make changes to it
__Sen. Bill Nelson voted like a weasel to table or pretend the bill didn’t exist

In other words did Bill Nelson vote to work on solving the issue or vote to put SENIORS at risk of losing their checks?

Sen. Marco Rubio voted to do something about solving the problem.
In the House Rep. Tom Rooney voted to do something about the debt crisis also.

Ok, lets give the ANTI Senior citizen Sen. Nelson another look as may be that was just bad judgement.

How did Sen. Bill Nelson vote on the house budget passed months ago that would have delt with the debt crisis.

Oh he never voted on the budget because once again Bill Nelson and his anti Senior party refused to voted on the budget passed by the house and put seniors at risk. No debate, no counter offer, no budget as a response. But then the Democrats have been in control of the congress for 4 1/2 year and in control of the Presidency for 2 1/2 yrs. Bill Nelson and his party that was in complete and total control of the government never offered a budget as required by LAW.

WHY??????? Why Bill Nelson????

We are sure the workers at NASA wish Bill had given them the support they had given him.

Marco Rubio working to help Seniors.

Saturday, May 21st, 2011

Big Government, Big Spending Bill Nelson finally decides to grabs hold of Marco Rubio ideas to do something to help seniors. Pro big government Dem Bill Nelson has FINALLY decided to help seniors and we thank him for following Marco Rubio with his new idea to make it easier on seniors at tax time.

Senators Rubio, Nelson Introduce “Seniors Tax Simplification Act”
Washington, D.C. – Florida’s two U.S. senators, Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson, today introduced S. 1006, the “Seniors Tax Simplification Act,” to simplify the tax code and filing requirements for seniors. The legislation would create a new 1040SR form that will allow for easier filing for Social Security benefits, as well as dividends, capital gains and interest.

A companion bill, H.R. 1058, has been introduced in the House by Congressman John Fleming, M.D. (R-LA). This legislation has been endorsed by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the 60 Plus Association, Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) and the National Taxpayer Union (NTU).

“Filing one’s taxes has become a dreaded experience, but this is especially so for seniors whose retirement finances are simple but still have to deal with a complicated filing process,” said Sen. Rubio. “For many seniors, paying taxes can and should be a lot easier than it is, and this new senior tax form will eliminate the hassle by making it easier to report their income each year.”

“Seniors are not alone when it comes to dreading doing their tax returns,” said Sen. Nelson. “Almost everybody complains about the hours it takes and seemingly endless complex forms. So this legislation is a good step in the right direction. Hopefully, we’ll be able to simplify the tax code next.”

“As the sponsor of the Seniors Tax Simplification Act in the House of Representatives, I’m very delighted to be working with Senators Rubio and Nelson from Florida on this simple yet significant legislation for seniors,” said Rep. Fleming. “The leadership of both these senators from such an important state as Florida will ensure a very bright prospect for this bill’s passage. My cosponsors and I in the House will be working very hard to make this important bill become a reality.”

ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND ON SENIORS TAX SIMPLIFICATION ACT

Under current law, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) makes filing a tax return more difficult for seniors by prohibiting taxpayers over the age of 65 from using the one-page form 1040EZ, even if they have a simple return and choose not to itemize deductions. This is because the form 1040EZ does not include a line for pension and Social Security income. Instead, seniors are required to file using the far more complicated form 1040 and its numerous schedules.

The Seniors Tax Simplification Act will provide a basic, easy-to-read form called the 1040SR for senior taxpayers earning Social Security, retirement benefits, interest and capital gains. The Joint Committee on Taxation has reviewed this legislation and stated that the enactment of this law will have no revenue effect and will not add to the debt.

We need a new generation of proven fiscal conservatives, Mike Haridopolos isn’t it.

Friday, May 13th, 2011

Mike Huckabee should stay out of Florida and worry about his TV show. The last thing Florida needs is one nationwide rino supporting a Florida Rino. Read this and ask why would you look at the record of both of these men and WHY would you support EITHER.

Bill Nelson is a BIG government Elitist and MUST be removed in the next election but Haridopolos is not the answer by any means. Before you think of supporting him look at his record and votes against the best interest of the people of Florida.

“We need a new generation of proven fiscal and social conservative leaders in the US Senate and that is why I am proud to endorse and support my good friend, Mike Haridopolos for the US Senate in Florida,” said Huckabee. “Mike will fight for our conservative values in Washington, just as he has done in leading the tremendous work of the Florida Senate.”-Governor Mike Huckabee

Senate President Haridopolos accepted the endorsement and stated the following:

“I am honored to have such a tremendous conservative leader like Gov. Huckabee stand with me and other Floridians to tell Washington that enough is enough-We’ve had enough of the broken promises, record borrowing, and deficits coming from the failed policies of Bill Nelson and Barack Obama.”-Senate President Mike Haridopolos.

If you want a fiscal conservative then Mike Haridopolos is NOT your candidate. Haridopolos is a second rate Rubio want a be, only without Rubio’s talent and drive.

Florida has a big spending Senator with no plan or vision on energy.
