Obama Spends $100B to Save Us from No Threat

Syndicated columnist Armstrong Williams has recently noted that the EPA is now on a jihad to protect Americans from the chemical known as perchlorate. Never heard of it? Few people have. It’s a salt manufactured and used primarily by the military and the aerospace industry, according to Williams.

Perchlorate also occurs naturally and in low amounts in water supplies, soil, agricultural crops and dairy cattle. It’s also found in fertilizers that farmers use to grow their crops.

Radical environmentalists have convinced the zealots at the EPA that this chemical is a dangerous pollutant that must be regulated. This is in spite of the fact that the National Academy of Sciences has stated that this chemical has no observable effect on the human body in its naturally occurring form.

The EPA’s IG stated: “The potential regulation of perchlorate is a critical environmental decision that has significant social and economic consequences. The regulation of perchlorate could adversely affect $70 billion dollars worth of U.S. agricultural exports…when one considers both the agricultural and environmental clean-up costs, the potential regulation of perchlorate represents at least a $70–110+ billion dollar decision.”

Utilities warn of higher rates because of pollution rules
by Cowboy Byte
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency last month finalized stronger regulations for Wisconsin and 26 other states aimed at curbing air pollution from long-distance sources.

Wisconsin Public Service Corp. of Green Bay said its residential customers can expect an increase of more than $4 a month next year, including about $2 linked to the new rules designed to limit air pollution from coal-fired power plants.

The utility said it would see higher costs of about $32.6 million in 2012 from the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule that was finalized recently by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. That will result in rates going up by 6.8% instead of 3.4%, the utility said.

Sen Bill Nelson of Florida sells out the people of Florida.

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Here is Sen. Nelsons response to the fraud global warming and letting the EPA doing the job of congress.

Thank you for taking the time to inform me of your thoughts about challenges to the Clean Air Act. Since its adoption, the Clean Air Act has proven to be a powerful tool in restricting harmful emissions and mitigating the effects of greenhouse gasses, and I oppose any efforts to hamper the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) authority to enforce it. Recently the Senate voted on a motioned tied to S. J. Res 26, a Resolution of Disapproval introduced by Senator Murkowski. There was not sufficient support for the motion to bring the resolution to a vote before the Senate.

On May 13, 2010, the EPA issued a final rule establishing a common-sense approach to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from stationary sources under the Clean Air Act permitting programs. This final rule “tailors” the requirements of the Clean Air Act permitting programs to limit which facilities will be required to obtain permits–neither small farms, restaurants, nor any but the very largest commercial facilities will be affected by the permitting regulations.

I support requiring power plants to substantially decrease their emissions of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide, and mercury. In addition, I support eliminating the grandfather exception for older power plants, so that all power plants meet the most recent pollution control standards. I oppose changes to our environmental laws that do not decrease emissions or encourage the placement of modern pollution controls on power plants, and I support efforts to raise CAFE standards.

I will continue to support reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions to protect public health and to ensure compliance with Clean Air Act regulations. I appreciate your taking the time to write about this important issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future.

Sincerely,
Senator Bill Nelson

Senate authors of a controversial climate change bill heralded EPA modeling results unveiled Tuesday. Do you believe these lying elitist?

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

What a joke. We are suppose to believe the EPA after the lies they have told the people of America? Or do you believe the lying John ( I’m better than you) Kerry. Have we not had enought from lying elitist PIGS. Climate change is a proven fraud. This is about taking more of OUR hard earned money for the government to waste. Can you trust government elitist that can’t protect our beaches from oil after getting a 50 day head start??? It is time for the people to keep their money and the government to be cut in size.

Senate authors of a controversial climate change bill heralded EPA modeling results unveiled Tuesday as proof that their plan would have a limited pinch on Americans’ pocketbooks.
Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) found many reasons to gloat after getting the 74-page study that showed the overall costs from their legislation’s major global warming provisions would cost an average household between $80 to $150 per year, NOW.
“There’ll be some people who will want to demagogue that politically, but that’s less than $1 a day,” Lieberman told reporters. “Is the American household willing to pay less than $1 so we don’t have to buy oil from foreign countries, so we can create millions of new jobs, so we can clean up our environment? I think the answer is going to be yes.”

This president and this congress have not shown they can fo anything but destroy jobs.

President Barack Obama is expected to give the Kerry-Lieberman bill a big push Tuesday night during a prime time speech from the Oval Office, but the measure’s sponsors still have a big fight on their hands if they’re going to have success.
Senate Democrats are divided over whether to set up a cap-and-trade program dealing with power plants, petroleum refiners and a range of other big industries, while most Republicans see the issue as red meat headed into the mid-term elections.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on the floor Tuesday morning that he didn’t buy into the connection that Obama and the climate bill authors are making between their proposal and the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Obama’s EPA has already announced that it!

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

A vote has been set on the Murkowski Amendment for
THIS THURSDAY. That leaves us just a few short but
crucial days for citizens to let their Senators know
what they think about Murkowski’s bill (SJ Res. 26).

Many Senators are sitting on the fence
regarding which way they’ll vote. Now
is the time to tell your Senators to
support Sen. Murkowski’s resolution and
remove the power from the EPA, an
unelected Washington Bureaucratic agency.

EPA, idiots out of control.

EPA chief: The hacked e-mails change nothing
By Ben Geman - 12/07/09 02:28 PM ET

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa Jackson dismissed

GOP calls to delay a critical finding on greenhouse emissions in light of hacked e-mails from climate scientists.

EPA documents released Monday state that greenhouse gases threaten human health — a finding that is a precursor to planned regulations controlling emissions from power plants, vehicles and other sources.

Republicans including House Oversight and Government Reform Committee ranking member Darrell Issa (Calif.) said e-mails among climate scientists hacked from a British research institute show holes in the case that humans are causing global warming.

Jackson disagreed. “There is nothing in the hacked e-mails that undermines the science upon which this decision is based,” Jackson said in announcing the finding this afternoon. She said the controversial messages dealt only with a tiny fraction of the strong evidence of global warming.

The EPA is to sold out on destroying America to figure out what the Saudis have.

Saudi Arabia called for an independent investigation into “climategate” Monday, warning that the scandal over stolen e-mails threatened to undermine the global-warming negotiations beginning here. “We believe this scandal — or what has been referred to as the ‘climategate’ scandal — we think this is definitely going to affect the nature of what could be trusted in our deliberations,” the Saudi Arabian negotiator said. The U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has promised to investigate the scandals, although its chairman said Monday that it provided no basis for questioning the science behind global warming. But the Saudi negotiator told delegates that “the level of confidence is certainty shaken.”

To bad the American people are being sold out by the Government elite.
