Obama wants to do to your healthcare what he has done to airline passengers.

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Obama wants to do to your healthcare what he has done to airline passengers with the TSA. How much incompetence will the American people stand from their government ELITE.

Rep. John Mica says the Transportation Security Administration has become a huge bureaucracy that has “spun out of control” and cries out for reform.

The Florida Republican, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, also says it makes no sense to hire additional air traffic controllers for night duty to deal with the problem of sleeping controllers.

Mica was first elected to the House in 1992, and as chairman of the Aviation Subcommittee he was a major force in the creation of the TSA following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The TSA has recently come under criticism over disclosures about air traffic controllers falling asleep during overnight shifts. The FAA’s air traffic chief resigned and the FAA said it is placing additional controllers at 27 airports for overnight work — a move Mica opposes.

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, he says: “I can only think of the federal government doubling up on $163,000-a-year average salary employee when one or two fall asleep at the job.

“It also doesn’t make any sense to schedule two employees when there’s no air traffic in the middle of the night.

“They could do a better job of scheduling, and if heads have to roll, so be it. They have to do a better job in managing employees.”

The TSA also sparked controversy when a 6-year-old girl in New Orleans was patted down by security personnel over her parents’ objection.

“The TSA is an agency that has spun out of control,” Mica declares.

“It should be focused on a very narrow number of people who pose a threat. And then I think the agency has to start being a thinking agency, actually get out of the screening business and get into the security and intelligence business where they can be the most effective.

“We’re shaking down little old ladies. We’re shaking down military, patting down children who don’t pose a risk, for goodness sakes. We should pick people out there who can make a better determination of who to go after, and we should have the information. It should be embedded in the ticket.

“These systems have been around. I’ve seen them tested and actually operating in other countries. Instead they create a huge 63,000-person army with 3,700 administrators in Washington, D.C., making on average of $105,000 apiece. The system absolutely cries out for reform.”

Mica said in December he tested the new technology for naked body scanners and in January tested new pat-down procedures “and I can tell you the results were dismal. Neither of these are effective.

“They should be looking for a limited number or people who pose a threat. They should be subject to thorough examination. Also the behavior detection program is a complete failure. We need to be training people to be looking for bad guys, and we should have intelligence that helps us get those folks even before they get to the gate.

“I was an advocate of using behavior [to screen passengers], not profiling by race or other ethnic measures.

“TSA has hired 3,300 additional people at a quarter of a billion dollars cost. The results that have been disclosed show that has been a failure too.”

Mica has stated that airports should be able to opt out of TSA screening and hire private screeners instead.

“I wrote a law to allow private screening under federal supervision and had five demonstration airports,” he tells Newsmax.

“Then we tested the all-federal [screeners] against the private screening with federal supervision. The model with private screening under federal supervision performed, the GAO said, significantly better. So why would you pay more to get less performance?

“The only countries in the West that are left with all-government models of screening like the United States has are Bulgaria, Romania, and Poland.”

But it is hard to change the TSA, he adds, because “it is a huge bureaucracy that is not very open to change. They’re protecting their turf. We have a system that cries out for reform.”

Would you like the TSA to handle your health care?

Sen. Bill Nelson keeps voting for BIG intrusive Government.

Does anyone know what student loans has to do with healthcare?

Since when does the Government mandates that individuals buy anything? Where in the constitution does the Federal government receive the right to order people to buy what the government tells them or go to prison?

Sen.Bill Nelson is clearly supporting this increase in bigger oppressive control of the government against the people of Florida and the United States.

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Reconciliation – Vote Passed (56-43, 1 Not Voting)
The Senate passed the final version of a bill to overhaul the nation’s health care system in March using a procedure known as reconciliation, which allows the Senate to bypass a filibuster with a simple majority. The bill mandates that individuals buy health insurance with exceptions for certain religious groups and those who cannot afford coverage. Those who do not buy insurance will be subject to a tax. Under the bill, beginning in 2014 insurance companies cannot deny coverage based on pre-existing medical conditions, and cannot drop coverage of people who become ill. In addition, a section of the bill makes the federal government the sole originator of student loans.

Florida Sen. Bill Nelson has turned on the people of Florida and mostly the seniors living in Florida. As the Government increases control over the medical systems in the United States the group mostly likely are senior citizens. Bureaucrats will become the judge and jury for who gets what care in the future as expenses grow caused by Government interference and mandates. At the point where the cost can no longer be covered, seniors will become expendable and the targets of the Government. Already money set aside to care for seniors has been removed and redirected to the care of the poor leaving our elderly who have worked and paid for these benefits as problems to the limited fund the government has to spend.

Seniors will be come the target for future government oppression. Seniors must wake up and start to note those in government that would work against us and make seniors the issue for the country in the future.

Can we just give The Obama and his Congress a chance.

The recession killed off 7.9 million jobs. It’s increasingly likely that many will never come back.
The government jobs report issued Friday shows that businesses have slowed their pace of hiring to a relative trickle.

The job losses during the Great Recession were so off the chart, that even though we’ve gained about 600,000 private sector jobs back, we’ve got nearly 8 million jobs to go,” said Lakshman Achuthan, managing director of Economic Cycle Research Institute.

The US economy lost 125,000 jobs in June, more than economists had forecast, as thousands of temporary census jobs ended and private hiring grew less than expected.

Will GOVERNMENT health care make this story impossible in the future.

Friday, March 19th, 2010

WILL THE GOVERNMENT TAKE OVER OF HEALTH CARE PUT AN END TO THIS TYPE OF PROCEDURE?
As Dr. Richard W. Byrne labored for more than three hours to remove a malignant tumor from his patient’s brain, he knew his efforts would not defeat the deadly cancer.
The goal was to buy time. Time for the 44-year-old patient to spend with his wife and two young children. Time for the man to enroll in a clinical trial for a new chemotherapy drug that could possibly offer a cure.

Just look at the health panels in the UK for your answer.

The American people are tired of Government health care being force on them

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

The health care sham conference being held by The Obama and Congress is just another dog and pony show. Seniors and families with children should be sick and tired of the push for government health care.  Only the most uninformed still support the failed future of government health care. Anyone doing any research will seem that government health care will damage and ruin the current health care in the U.S. and replace it with a failed model of government control. Seniors and future Seniors have the most to lose and should be making their views very clear to Congress.

Washington (CNN) – Although the overall health care reform bills passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate are unpopular, many of the provisions in the existing bills are extremely popular, even among Republicans, according to a new national poll.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday also indicates that only a quarter of the public want Congress to stop all work on health care, with nearly three quarters saying lawmakers should pass some kind of reform.   25 percent of people questioned in the poll say Congress should pass legislation similar to the bills passed by both chambers, with 48 percent saying lawmakers should work on an entirely new bill and a quarter saying Congress should stop all work on health care reform. The survey indicates nearly 4 in 10 Democrats saying Congress should start from scratch and just 1 in 10 saying lawmakers should stop all work on health care.  A majority of Republicans questioned, 54 percent, want Congress to start from scratch, with just under 4 in 10 saying lawmakers should halt work on health care reform.

52 percent of Independents want Congress to start work on a new bill, with 27 percent saying lawmakers should stop all work, and 18 percent saying that the current legislation should be passed into law.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted February 12-15, with 1,023 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey’s sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points for the overall survey.

May be CNN should run a pool on Congress working on JOBS vs Health care.

The government runs the TSA at the airports and now wants to run your Healthcare!

Can the government do for healthcare what it has done for airport security.

Newark, New Jersey (CNN) – A security breach at Newark Liberty International Airport Sunday evening forced the closure of a terminal for hours while authorities rescreened thousands of passengers.

The incident happened at about 5:20 p.m. at Terminal C, when a man walked through an exit on the public side to the secure “sterile” side for passengers who had cleared screening, according to the Transportation Security Administration.

“Rescreening began after the Port Authority Police and TSA swept each of the concourses in the terminal with negative findings,” said Ann Davis, a TSA spokeswoman.

“The man in question was never located; however, TSA’s rescreening effort will ensure that every passenger boarding an aircraft tonight out of Newark’s Terminal C has been fully screened.”

All passengers had been rescreened by early Monday, according to the TSA. Flights from Terminal C were grounded until the process was completed.
