Carrying Water for Obama, Hilda Solis Picks a Fight with the Tea Party

With the team behind President Barack Obama targeting the Sunshine State in their bid for a second term in 2012, the White House sent U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis to speak to the Florida Democratic Convention on Saturday.
A day after Vice President Joe Biden told the convention at Walt Disney World that Obama needed to carry Florida to win in 2012, Solis attempted to rally Democrats for the elections and urged them to push for the Obama jobs plan which, with Republicans controlling the U.S. House, has no chance of passing Congress.

Speaking at a luncheon event on Saturday, Solis carried water for Obama, bashing Republicans and praising the administration’s economic policies.
Solis offered harsh words about conservatives. Looking at 2012, Solis slammed the tea party movement, calling them “teabaggers” and promising the Obama administration will take them on.
(when you have nothing to show for your 3 years but failure you have to resort to name calling.)
Combating the noise of a crowd often more concerned with holding their own conversations and eating their lunches than listening to her speech, Solis attempted to defend the Obama economic policies, praising the federal stimulus that the White House backed and the president’s job plan.
Solis claimed that the Obama job plan was backed by 65 percent of the American people and would “put 2 million people, especially construction workers, back to work.”
Besides attempting to sell the Obama jobs plan, Solis took aim at the Republicans. She attacked Republican Gov. Rick Scott’s labor policies, arguing that he is looking to take away collective bargaining and other rights from public-sector employees.
Solis accused Republicans in Florida and other states, including Ohio and Wisconsin, of “picking on” teachers, police officers and other government workers.
(are these states really Picking on PUBLIC UNIONS or are they protecting the PEOPLE of their states from UNION abuse).
Blaming globalization and market changes for the decline of organized labor in the private sector, Solis conceded that government workers retained strong unions. “We’ve seen the movement in the labor house diminish in the private sector,” said Solis.
(what we see is the rights of business attacked and damaged by the government and the public has been injured by the government).
Solis urged the crowd to back Obama and his jobs plan.“You need to understand that this president is fighting for you,” she insisted.
(who does she mean, UNION leadership? Surely name the people of the states & country!)
When Obama took the oath of office in January 2009, the national unemployment rate stood at 7.6 percent. In September 2011, the national unemployment rate was 9.1 percent.

Yesterday Vice President Joe Biden showed us that America’s most powerful Democrats are following leftist “community organizer” Saul Alinksy’s “Rules for Radical” right down to every last piece of advise. Joe Biden was apparently a part of a conversation that included a reference to GOP members of the House Tea Party Caucus as terrorists. The quote reported to the media is that Republican tea party members “acted like terrorists” on how they demanded more than they got in the budget deal.
Radical leftist Saul Alinksy said the following:
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.”
The tone coming out of Obama’s administration is mind boggling. Obama himself constantly calls for civility in the political realm, yet his administration is guilty of driving the most divisive narrative in my lifetime. Obama does nothing short of ridicule anyone and everyone bringing solutions to the table. He belittles, insults and bullies any American who refuses to carry water for his agenda, and he does it in a way that makes it appear as though he’s “rising above it all.”
This attitude isn’t held by Democrats only. Even establishment Republicans have recently blasted those with serious solutions to our nations problems. Arizona’s liberal GOP Senator John McCain recently took to the Senate floor to call tea partiers “hobbits” in a reference aimed to paint us all as living in an unrealistic world with our political demands.
Speaking of John McCain’s Hobbit reference, over the weekend I launched the “Hobbit Movement” on Facebook and a corresponding Twitter account should anyone be interested in joining in on the fun.
Have no doubts, friends… the Washington establishment and con-machine is threatened by our movement. We intend to dismantle their corruption and they know it. It’s proof we’re on the right path.
Now we just need to step it up!

Biden: Tea partiers like ‘terrorists’
Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having “acted like terrorists” in the fight over raising the nation’s debt limit.
Biden was agreeing with a line of argument made by Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) at a two-hour, closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting.
“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”
Biden, driven by his Democratic allies’ misgivings about the debt-limit deal, responded: “They have acted like terrorists,” according to several sources in the room.
Biden’s office declined to comment about what the vice president said inside the closed-door session.
Earlier in the day, Biden told Senate Democrats that Republican leaders have “guns to their heads” in trying to negotiate deals.
The vice president’s hot rhetoric about tea party Republicans underscored the tense moment on Capitol Hill as four party leaders in both chambers work to round up the needed votes in an abbreviated time frame. The bill would raise the debt limit by as much as $2.4 trillion through the end of next year and reduce the deficit by an equal amount over the next decade.
Democrats had no shortage of colorful phrases in wake of the deal.
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) called it a “Satan sandwich,” and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) called seemed to enjoy the heat analogy, saying: “the Tea Partiers and the GOP have made their slash and burn lunacy clear, and while I do not love this compromise, my vote is a hose to stop the burning. The arsonists must be stopped.
The deal was consummated Sunday night, the text of the bill was posted in the wee hours of Monday morning, and the House was expected to vote first on it Monday afternoon or evening. But there are still plenty of concerns in both parties and in both chambers.
Liberal Democrats have had the most averse reaction to the plan, which ensures between $2.1 trillion and $2.4 trillion in deficit reduction over the next decade without requiring any of it to come from tax increases.
Biden told Democratic lawmakers that the deal would take away the tea party’s “weapon of mass destruction” — the threat of a default on U.S. debt obligations.
“They have no compunction about blowing up the economy to get what they want,” Doyle told POLITICO after the meeting.

Biden also insisted that doing so is an impeachable offense.
Sheriff Joe agreed with Dennis Kucinich in those days, but ever since then Biden’s legal opinion has evolved with stickleback-like speed.

WASHINGTON — Joe Biden, the gaffe-prone vice president, strayed from tradition Monday at the swearing-in of Republican Mark Kirk, the new senator from Illinois.
Biden, who is president of the Senate, began by instructing Kirk: “Please place your right hand on the Bible.”
Kirk, a Republican, did as instructed, putting his right hand on the Good Book and raising his left.
Oops. Here’s guidance from “Traditions of the United States Senate,” by Richard Baker, the Senate historian from 1975 to 2009: “Senators-elect affirm their oath to defend the U.S. Constitution by stepping forward, raising their right hand, and repeating the words spoken by the presiding officer. Some carry in their left hand a personal Bible or other sacred text.”
Does this look like the road to recovery the Obama pro Socialist/ pro Fascist have promised us?
From no less than Joe Biden do we hear the spin of failure. White House revealed the summer of 2010 “Recovery Summer” — focusing on the economy and the job market in a period projected to have the highest levels of recovery act-sponsored activity to date. Vice President Joe Biden noted, “We’ve gone from hemorrhaging over 700,000 jobs a month the first several months . . . to adding several hundred thousand jobs a month in the last several months.” He cited 2.3 to 2.8 million jobs saved or created by last year’s stimulus bill, and projected that the U.S. was on track to create or save 3.5 million jobs by the end of 2010, announcing, “The fact is, the recovery act is working.”
We are hemorrhaging but it is tax dollars and tax payers hard earned money being taken and wasted by the Government we are hemorrhaging.

TAPPER: When you talked to these members of Congress, you told me what you tell them. What do you hear back from them? Do you hear back from venerable members who are worried this bill will cost them their jobs?
BIDEN: Well, I yes. Some of them I say they say, well, Joe, look, man, I mean, you know, you guys haven’t massaged this very well. And, you know, this thing has gone on so long, I don’t know. And my response is, hey, man, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I’m telling you, you know, pre-existing, they’re going to be covered. You know we’re going to control the insurance companies. You know people aren’t going to lose their health care with their employer like is being advertised. So you’ve got to if you really want to make sure that you get the benefit of what you’ve already done, vote for the bill.
And I look, Jake, I really, truly believe that the worst place to be, as a legislator, is being in the position where your side is being pummeled for an idea and there’s misrepresentations about all the bad
things the idea is going to generate. And then the idea fails and then they go, see, I told you Jake was for it. And had I not stopped, Jake, there would have been death panels.
