Obama has been pushing for the federal government to take control of the Internet in the US and now it seems that a huge step towards that goal is about to take effect.
On Sunday, Nov. 20, ‘Net Neutrality’ will take effect. Proponents have claimed that the regulation is necessary to insure neutrality of internet service; however, they are not being forthright in their depiction.
Many believe the ultimate goal of net neutrality is to eliminate all private internet service providers resulting in the US government ending up as the only internet provider left. And as the only provider, they would regulate who does and who doesn’t have access to the internet as well as regulate website content of all US based sites.
President of Less Government and editor-in-chief of StopNetRegualtion.org, Seton Motley explained it this way,
“The godfather of the media reform movement, a man by the name of Robert McChesney, said [net] neutrality does not commandeer control of the Internet,” [Motley cites.] “‘We’re not at the point yet,’ he actually uses that sentence, ‘but the ultimate objective is to eradicate the media capitalists from the phone and cable companies and to divest them from control.’”
“At which point, they will be rationing bandwidth, just like ObamaCare will result in rationing of healthcare. And when that happens, if they’re choosing websites that get bandwidth, and they’re choosing between Daily Kos [and] MoveOn.org vs. National Review and American Spectator, who’s the government going to choose?”

Obama’s New ‘Christmas Tree Tax, WTF!!!

President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry” (7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information” is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States” (7 CFR 1214.10).
To pay for the new Federal Christmas tree image improvement and marketing program, the Department of Agriculture imposed a 15-cent fee on all sales of fresh Christmas trees by sellers of more than 500 trees per year (7 CFR 1214.52). And, of course, the Christmas tree sellers are free to pass along the 15-cent Federal fee to consumers who buy their Christmas trees.
WHO are these big government Socialist trying to kid? They want to add a tax on the American People to promote Christmas trees?? Is this a needed government function???

The feisty response appears to set up a clash between congressional investigators and the White House over the sprawling probe into Solyndra’s finances and the administration’s involvement in the decision to provide the struggling company a $528 million loan with taxpayer money.
It is time for this Chicago street thug in the White House to be exposed for his policy for wasting the American tax payers money. Hard working people do not need an elitist taking their money and giving to his friends.

Three days before an Occupy Oakland protest turned violent, United Steelworkers international president Leo Gerard, an adviser to President Obama, called for “more militancy” in Occupy movements across the U.S.
Gerard serves on the board of a number of groups funded by billionaire George Soros, including organizations that reportedly helped to craft Obama’s “stimulus” and health-care laws.
In an interview with progressive radio host Ed Schultz on Monday, Gerard stated, “I think what we need is, we need more militancy.”
“I think we’ve got to start a resistance movement. If Wall Street occupation doesn’t get the message, I think we’ve got to start blocking bridges and doing that kind of stuff,” stated Gerard, according to a transcript provided by Newsbusters.org.

Reporting from Washington — Even as he takes a series of executive actions to juice the economy, President Obama said Wednesday that he alone can’t solve the unemployment crisis and he needs Congress to spend money on major new programs to dent the jobless rate.
In recent weeks, Obama has been trying to bypass Congress, using his own executive authority to reduce student loan payments, help struggling homeowners refinance their loans and ease the shortage in prescription drugs. He has been acting under a new battle cry: “We can’t wait.”
But in an appearance at a bridge connecting northern Virginia to Washington, D.C., Obama conceded that his strategy has limitations. On his own, he can’t create enough jobs to find work for the 14 million unemployed, he said.

Carrying Water for Obama, Hilda Solis Picks a Fight with the Tea Party

With the team behind President Barack Obama targeting the Sunshine State in their bid for a second term in 2012, the White House sent U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis to speak to the Florida Democratic Convention on Saturday.
A day after Vice President Joe Biden told the convention at Walt Disney World that Obama needed to carry Florida to win in 2012, Solis attempted to rally Democrats for the elections and urged them to push for the Obama jobs plan which, with Republicans controlling the U.S. House, has no chance of passing Congress.
(what about the Democrates failing to vote on any of the Republican buills sent to the Senate? Harry Reid is stopping the progress.)
Speaking at a luncheon event on Saturday, Solis carried water for Obama, bashing Republicans and praising the administration’s economic policies.
Solis offered harsh words about conservatives. Looking at 2012, Solis slammed the tea party movement, calling them “teabaggers” and promising the Obama administration will take them on.
(when you have nothing to show for your 3 years but failure you have to resort to name calling.)
Combating the noise of a crowd often more concerned with holding their own conversations and eating their lunches than listening to her speech, Solis attempted to defend the Obama economic policies, praising the federal stimulus that the White House backed and the president’s job plan.
Solis claimed that the Obama job plan was backed by 65 percent of the American people and would “put 2 million people, especially construction workers, back to work.”
Besides attempting to sell the Obama jobs plan, Solis took aim at the Republicans. She attacked Republican Gov. Rick Scott’s labor policies, arguing that he is looking to take away collective bargaining and other rights from public-sector employees.
Solis accused Republicans in Florida and other states, including Ohio and Wisconsin, of “picking on” teachers, police officers and other government workers.
(are these states really Picking on PUBLIC UNIONS or are they protecting the PEOPLE of their states from UNION abuse).
Blaming globalization and market changes for the decline of organized labor in the private sector, Solis conceded that government workers retained strong unions. “We’ve seen the movement in the labor house diminish in the private sector,” said Solis.
(what we see is the rights of business attacked and damaged by the government and the public has been injured by the government).
Solis urged the crowd to back Obama and his jobs plan.“You need to understand that this president is fighting for you,” she insisted.
(who does she mean, UNION leadership? Surely name the people of the states & country!)
When Obama took the oath of office in January 2009, the national unemployment rate stood at 7.6 percent. In September 2011, the national unemployment rate was 9.1 percent.

Obama political advisor holds the same White House position his Bush-era predecessor, Karl Rove, did. But before he was the White House political czar he worked in several far left organizations as activist and agitator.

One of the more disturbing aspects of the Obama-ACORN connection is that the White House political affairs director is one Patrick Gaspard.
Gaspard doesn’t register on the media radar screen in the way that his immediate Bush-era predecessor, Karl Rove, did. But as the New Orleans-based ACORN has been implicated in a host of illegal schemes ranging from voter registration fraud to embezzlement to tax evasion, he may get there. That’s because prior to assuming his current job, Gaspard, at least according to ACORN founder Wade Rathke, had been political director for the New York City chapter of ACORN under Bertha Lewis, who last year replaced Rathke as the group’s chief organizer and CEO. What’s more, he’s worked closely with the ACORN-controlled Working Families Party and the largest local within the Service Employees International Union.
