Obama Admin. Announces Plan to Block U.S. Oil Shale Development and U.S. Job Creation

Monday, February 6th, 2012

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 3, 2012 – House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings (WA-04) released the following statement today regarding the draft Bureau of Land Management plan to close public lands in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming to oil shale development:
“The distinction between the pro-American job policies of House Republicans and the anti-American energy policies of the Obama Administration could not be clearer. On Wednesday, the Natural Resources Committee approved a bipartisan bill to promote the development of U.S. oil shale and create hundreds of thousands of American jobs. On Friday, the Obama Administration released their plan to close over a million acres of federal land to oil shale development. Republicans have a plan to expand access to American energy resources, grow our economy, and put people back to work. The Obama Administration has a plan to lock-up U.S. energy resources and send jobs overseas. This unfortunately is just one more example to add to the ever-growing list of Obama Administration actions that block U.S. energy production.”

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the U.S. holds more than half of the world’s oil shale resources. The largest known deposits of oil shale are located in a 16,000-square mile area in the Green River formation in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. USGS estimates show the region may hold more than 1.5 trillion barrels of oil – six times Saudi Arabia’s proven resources, and enough to provide the United States with energy for the next 200 years.

Barbara Boxer Claims GOP Legislation Will Kill People for Christmas Gifts How do sick nut job like this keep getting elected?

This is from TheHill.com: “Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) on Tuesday accused Republicans of pushing legislation that would poison more than 8,000 people to death as a Christmas gift to Americans. ‘They have attached a poison pill — literally, colleagues — because it will kill 8,100 more people more than would have otherwise been killed from pollution.’” She’s serious. This gets reported seriously. So if you listen to Barbara Boxer and the Democrat Party, Republicans want people to die. Free market corporations want their customers to die, free market corporations kill their customers, if you listen to people like Barbara Boxer. Republicans want dirty air. Republicans want dirty water. Republicans want disease spread.

Now, I bring this up ’cause most people look at this, and I do, too, you know, I laugh at it. Hey, Ms. Boxer, how many people have you killed with your abortion legislation? How many people have you killed with your stand on abortion since 1973? How many people, have been deaths, Barbara Boxer, are you personally responsible for? And to sit around here and talk about pollution killing 8,100 people, that Republicans want to kill people. Now, the reason this is important is not for the obvious reason. These are the kind of people, we’re told, that independent voters will skedaddle to and support if our Republican candidates dare get too critical of Barack Obama.

Newspaper reporters & cable news commentators you think that this collective is keeping tabs on Washington?

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

If you think Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington is a “non-profit, non-partisan” watchdog Group, Think again.

In reality, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) is a left-wing attack dog masquerading as a “non-partisan watchdog.”

An analysis of CREW’s “watchdog” activities reveals a systematic effort to disproportionately target Republicans and conservative-leaning groups with often-frivolous lawsuits, ethics complaints, and petitions for investigations by law enforcement agencies. An analysis of CREW’s activities demonstrates that it disproportionately targets conservatives by a ratio of more than 8-to-1. At the same time, the corresponding federal oversight agencies responsible for investigating CREW’s complaints indicates that, historically, Democrats have been investigated far more often for ethics violations.

May be we should call them SCREW (Socialist Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington). Only problem is they are neither responsible or ethical but the are Socialist from Washington.

Another Example of Hate filled Democratic letting their hate for business blind them to the facts.

Another example of Hate filled Democratic letting their hate for business blind them to the facts.

Virginia Democratic Rep. Jim Moran proposed an amendment barring congressional cafeterias from using Styrofoam products he claimed were made by backers of conservative causes.

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee voted 26 to 18 against the amendment.

Moran claimed at a college rally in Virginia last month that Republicans in the House were forcing the government to buy Styrofoam cups. He said the cups are not “environmentally sustainable,” according to CNSNews, and asserted that they are made by Koch Industries, which is headed by two brothers who support a variety of conservative causes.

“As soon as the Republicans took over the House of Representatives, they threw out all of the biodegradable utensils we were using in the cafeterias and they required us to buy Styrofoam cups and plates and so on that are manufactured by Dixie and, in fact, this is part of Koch Industries,” Moran said.

In fact, the move to Styrofoam was decided upon by the House cafeterias themselves.

Had Moran done more research, he might have discovered that the cafeterias use WinCup, not Dixie, as their supplier of disposable cups, bowls, containers and lids.
WinCup is not owned by Koch Industries, and is actually a competitor of Dixie.

You can’t fix STUPID Virginia!

Gallup Poll: Cain Supporters Are Most Fervent
Wednesday, 25 May 2011 03:01 PM

By Charles J. Little

No Republican presidential hopeful has supporters as fervent as Herman Cain’s, says a new Gallup poll that measures voter feelings of “positive intensity” toward the candidates. Cain, a conservative radio talk-show host based in Atlanta and a former Godfather’s Pizza CEO, matched Gallup’s highest Positive Intensity Score, with 27, for any 2012 GOP prospect.

He continues to lag behind most of the field in name recognition, although he has gained 12 percentage points in that category since Gallup asked poll respondents in March whether they know who Cain is.

Gallup measures positive intensity by grouping all of the people in a survey who recognize a particular candidate, and subtracting the percentage with a “strongly negative” opinion of the candidate from the percentage who are “strongly positive.” The remaining number forms Gallup’s Positive Intensity Score.

Cain’s 27 puts him ahead of Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., who has the second-highest score with 23. Trailing are eight more prospects, most with higher name recognition than Cain but less positive intensity. The list includes Sarah Palin (16), Mitt Romney (15), Tim Pawlenty (14), Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas (11), and Newt Gingrich (11).

“There is thus no potential candidate who at this point combines a high name ID with strongly positive reactions among Republicans,” Gallup reported.

Time for a change of leaderless leadership in both parties.

UPDATED: It is worth noting that neither Senate Republicans May Not Try to Repeal Obamacare have signed on as co-sponsors to Jim DeMint’s legislation that would repeal Obamacare.

Senate Republicans May Not Try to Repeal Obamacare. There is no doubt that there needs to be changes in leadership of both the Senate and the house. The failed old place holders need to be replaced by men that can lead and do the right thing. We have had enough of those who can’t lead and just take up space. Neither Senate Republicans May Not Try to Repeal Obamacare deserves to be retained in leadership. They had they chances and they have failed. Time to move on to new younger leaders.

Has anyone seen 0bama’s and Pelosi’s “Transparency” and “Most ethical Congress” anywhere?

Does this sound more like Stalins Russia, Hitlers Germany or Chavez Venezuela.

But NO!!!  But it is the Democratic Socialist in control of the United States.
Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) locked Republicans out of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee room to keep them from meeting when Democrats aren’t present.

Towns’ action came after repeated public ridicule from the leading Republican on the committee, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), over Towns’s failure to launch an investigation into Countrywide Mortgage’s reported sweetheart deals to VIPs.

For months Towns has refused Republican requests to subpoena records in the case. Last Thursday Committee Republicans, led by Issa, were poised to force an open vote on the subpoenas at a Committee mark-up meeting. The mark-up was abruptly canceled. Only Republicans showed up while Democrats chairs remained empty.

Republicans charged that Towns canceled the meeting to avoid the subpoena vote. Democrats first claimed the mark-up was canceled due to a conflict with the Financial Services Committee. Later they said it was abandoned after a disagreement among Democratic members on whether to subpoena records on the mortgage industry’s political contributions to Republicans.

Is this elitist overbearing government making you sick yet?
