Sarah Palin: Newt ‘Crucified’ by Romney Allies, GOP Establishment

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says that Newt Gingrich is being “crucified” by the Republican establishment, including allies of Mitt Romney, who are trying to rewrite his record with a barrage of negative attacks.

“Look at Newt Gingrich, what’s going on with him via the establishment’s attacks,” Palin told John Stossel of Fox Business on Thursday.

She added: “They’re trying to crucify this man and rewrite history and rewrite what it is that he has stood for all these years.”

Palin has not endorsed any of the GOP presidential candidates, but has been enthusiastically supportive of Gingrich.

Last week before the South Carolina GOP primary Palin said she would vote for Newt Gingrich if she was voting in that state’s primary.

Palin’s husband, Todd, has officially endorsed Gingrich for president.

Sarah Palin explained her husband’s endorsement of Gingrich: “I think that endorsement was real reflective of a lot of Americans who understand that somebody with experience in cutting government budgets, cutting taxes — which does more for liberty and an economic turnaround than anything else — someone who has waged war on Hillarycare and government taking over of healthcare — somebody with that experience plus somebody who has struggled personally and overcome struggles and challenges — would be one that was embraced by voters.”

And Sarah Palin’s defense of Gingrich, especially of his conservative, Reaganite record, has gotten significant backing from leading conservatives.

On Thursday, Rush Limbaugh slammed Romney allies for a “coordinated attack” on Gingrich.

Limbaugh described Gingrich as the “premier defender of Ronald Reagan” and said such smear tactics against Gingrich hurt Mitt Romney.

“That kind of stuff is why people hate Romney so much,” Limbaugh said.

Palin also struck out at conservative writers like Washington Post columnist George Will and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, who earlier this month called Gingrich an “angry little attack muffin.”

“That’s that typical hypocrisy stuff in the media, you know, I’ve lived with over a couple of decades in the political arena,” she told Stossel, complaining that Mitt Romney doesn’t get the same treatment.

Last week, in a radio interview with Sean Hannity, Palin blasted ABC News for its interview with Gingrich’s ex-wife, Marianne Gingrich, saying these kinds of media hits “incentivize conservatives and independents” who are tired of “the politics of personal destruction.”

“We know the game now, and we just won’t put up with it. Good call, media.”

Romney is suffering a major backlash from conservatives outraged by his tactics.

Michael Reagan, the conservative commentator and son of President Reagan, slammed Romney for his recent assault on Gingrich.

“As governor of Massachusetts, Romney’s achievement was the most socialistic healthcare plan in the nation up until that time,” Reagan said.

“Say what you want about Newt Gingrich but when he was speaker of the House he surrounded himself with Reagan conservatives and implemented a Ronald Reagan program of low taxes and restrained federal spending.

“Newt’s conservative program created a huge economic boom and balanced the budget for the first time in more than a generation.”

Mike Reagan concluded: “I would take Newt Gingrich’s record any day over Mitt Romney’s.”

If you missed this article please read it and see if you agree that the Democratics are lead by a bunch of whiners and little elitist MORONS.

Congressman Claims Sarah Palin Should Pay for Extra Costs on National Park Visits?
By Eric Odom

As we all know, Sarah Palin is on a bus tour that has the media crunching on its own teeth in frustration over the events as they play out. I could list the hilarious complaints of the media here, but it would take half the day to get through them and I just don’t have time.
But I will list a laughable complaint and claim by Democrat Congressman Earl Blumenauer. Let’s start with the part I agree with.

Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) sent a letter to the National Park Service today asking how federal resources were used for the northeast leg of Palin’s “One Nation Tour,” which traveled from Washington, D.C. to New Hampshire last week. His concern: press accounts of the tour “which provided personal and political benefits to former Gov. Palin, suggest that National Park Service resources were made available to an extent beyond that which an average American family would receive.”

I can see a legitimate argument here and I do somewhat support it. I don’t think national park employees should go out of their way, spend more money and add on additional manpower when a celebrity shows up. Not for Palin, not for Charlie Sheen, not for anyone. Especially in this economy.

This is where you lose me…

“I opened my paper this morning to hear about cutbacks in state parks around this country,” Blumenauer told ABC News. “We have a serious backlog of maintenance in the National Park Service. And it looks like Sarah Palin’s little political cavalcade gets this amazing VIP treatment – I’m scratching my head. If it’s a private family vacation, what in the world are we doing getting people in with preferential early admission and having an entourage of public employees? It looks like a political stunt, and Palin Inc. ought to pay for it.”

First of all, it doesn’t matter what it looks like. Sarah Palin is free to do whatever she wants to do. She can vacation, she can stump, she can sign books… anything. Sarah Palin is not a sitting elected official. She’s a private citizen who runs a PAC and is on a bus tour.

Secondly, if you’ve got park rangers, staff and police units stumbling over themselves to get to work early and meet Sarah Palin, why on earth should she have to pay for their time? This sounds like a situation where some management needs to be talked to and questions need to be asked, but the suggestion that Palin is financially responsible is absurd and a waste of time.

“The world is getting warmer”: Romney
He is sounding more like Obama every day.

(Reuters) – Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy on Friday by saying he believes that humans are responsible, at least to some extent, for climate change.
he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.

“It’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors.”

The former Massachusetts governor fielded questions on topics ranging from the debt ceiling to abortion on his first full day of campaigning for 2012 Republican primary nomination.

Romney leads opinion polls in New Hampshire by a wide margin, and is among the top contenders nationally to win the Republican primary.

But the candidate lost the publicity battle on Thursday when his campaign launch in New Hampshire was overshadowed by Republican star Sarah Palin, who swooped in as part of her East Coast bus tour to dominate local media coverage.

In addressing climate change and energy policy, Romney called on the United States to break its dependence on foreign oil, and expand alternative energies including solar, wind, nuclear and clean coal.

“I love solar and wind (power) but they don’t drive cars. And we’re not all going to drive Chevy Volts,” he said referring to electric cars.

The United States can not go it alone in attempting to trim emissions levels and give a free pass to countries such as China and Brazil, Romney said. “It’s not called American warming, it’s called global warming,” he said.

Software developer Michael Hillinger, 60, of Hanover, New Hampshire, posed the climate change question.

Romney’s answer provided plenty of wiggle-room, Hillinger said, but “he is taking a more forthright stand than any of the other candidates.”

At an event in Manchester last week, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, also running for president, said that climate change is “the newest excuse to take control of lives” by “left-wing intellectuals.”

Asked to lay out a specific plan for the economy, Romney outlined seven points but referred to his 2010 book “No Apology” as containing his policy ideas in details.

“It’s a good book. I’ll give you a discount,” he quipped.

Katie some advice, get some new glasses. The last 19 years has not been kind to Katie. As you can see from the picture she use to be very attractive. May be that is how she got her job to start. Now we can only wonder how she keeps her job.

Michelle Obama doesn’t seem to understand when she says, “looking his critics in the eye”. The ISSUE is his critics are the American PEOPLE!

“I think my husband has done a phenomenal job staying on course, looking his critics in the eye, coming up with clear solutions against staying the course,” Michelle Obama told Robin Roberts in an exclusive morning television interview on “Good Morning America.” “That’s what leadership is. But people have the right to criticize the President of the United States.”

Michelle Obama’s comments came in response to recent criticism from Sarah Palin who told TEA Party conventioneers in Nashville, Tenn., this weekend she wants to ask Obama supporters, “How is that hope-y, change-y stuff working out for you?”

The Obama view is failing because the United States is not interested is lowering the country to the level of either Fascist or Socialist models Obama is using to change the U.S..

The Obama administration is a complete disaster and failure.
